Giza

I think we were offered Camel rides about 40 times. The peddlers here take away a little of the grandeur of this site. You have barely a moment to yourself before the next one arrives. That aside, this place is cool.

  1. On the other hand, this camel ride represents a huge part of their livelyhood. Flip a extra ten to someone deserving or buy a small child something...I will send to you when you get back.

  2. ok. we dash where we can. it's the very forward, lying ones you have to worry about. One guy claimed he worked there (yeah) and wanted our tickets (only to try and charge to get them back...in Saqqara, this old bedouin gave us a two cent tour with a lot of hieroglyph bs and we ended up giving him a 20...then he wanted 50 to give our tickets back. stuff like that) for the most part the camel jockeys were polite and courteous. A few ruin it for the rest.
